Traditional dance, music and theatre highlighted


Luanda – Traditional dance, music, and theatre were the main attractions at the ceremony of prize giving to the winners of the 2009 edition of the National Culture and Arts Award, held Tuesday in Luanda.


Witnessed by Angolan Prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma, and by Luanda governor, Francisca do Espírito Santo and the minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, the event was enlivened by the singers, Margareth do Rosário, Valdemar Bastos, Miragens theatre group and the dance groups,  Maringa Bula Mbunda and Muntweno.


To the sound and rhythm of marimba and other traditional musical instruments, the Marimba Bula Mbunda group presented to viewers a play illustrating the “Jacaré Bangão”’s legend.
