Lourdes Van-Dúnem and Belita Palma honoured


Luanda – The Angolan late singers, Lourdes Van-Dúnem and Belita Palma, were honoured Tuesday tonight in Luanda, during the ceremony of prize giving to the winners of the 2009 edition of the National Culture and Arts Award.


During the event, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, the singer Margareth do Rosário sang two songs belonging to the mentioned late singers.


Backed by “Banda Maravilha”, Margareth do Rosário sang "Monami" and "Manazinha", two songs that are part of her latest album.


With this, the Angolan Culture Ministry intended to make people remember those two late Angolan singers for everything they did for the Angolan music and culture.


The National Prize of Culture and Arts is an Angolan government promotion, through the Culture Ministry, meant for the preservation and valuing and dissemination of the Angolan Culture. It was created in 2000.
