London - Prime Minister David Cameron has said the Olympic security operation is "the biggest operation in our peace-time history, bar none", praising the people charged with keeping the event safe.

In reference to the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, Mr Cameron said he thought it was important to mark the anniversary but that events occurring outside the Olympic banner were the right way to commemorate it.
