Higher Education to spread Nationwide by 2012

Luanda – The secretary of State for Higher Education, Adão do Nascimento, Thursday in Luanda, assured that higher education  will be instituted all over the country until 2012.


Speaking to Angop, Adão do Nascimento, stressed that reorganisation of academic network establishes the creation of new higher education public institutions, with the purpose of achieving strategic objectives of economic, social and technologic development of the communities.


According to the official, during this year, there will emerge in some provinces, teaching institutions, like Katiavala Buila University, whose headquarters are set in Benguela province and comprises five institutions, whilst Kwanza Sul has one.


“This process will continue since the project cannot be concluded in one year, but everything will be done so that it can be finished by 2012”, he stated.


The project, endorsed by the Cabinet Council, integrates six new universities, including Agostinho Neto University and higher education institutes.
