Vice governor inaugurates schools in Menongue

 

Menongue – The vice governor for political and social matters of the eastern Kuando Kubango province, Pedro Camelo, inaugurated on Thursday in Banda Velha ward in Menongue city a primary school dubbed “28 de Agosto”.

 

This school has the capacity to accommodate 630 students in the three shifts.

 

Pedro Camelo also unveiled a four-classroom primary school in Chipeio ward with capacity to receive nearly 400 students.

 

During the inaugural act, the official said that the Angolan government is committed to the construction of schools in the country, in particular in Kuando Kubango province, so that all children may be integrated in the normal education system.

 

He said that currently 121 schools are under construction in the ambit of the Operative Programme for the province, which will enable the integration of Great number of students out of school.
