Unicef donates equipment for teacher training

Luanda – The Angolan Ministry of Education received this Monday here from UNICEF information technology equipment such as computers, projectors, printers, for distance training of teachers.

 

On the occasion, the Minister of Education, Pinda Simão, thanked the gesture and said that the training of teachers is fundamental for the improvement of education quality.

 

The representative of Unicef in Angola, Koenraad Vanormelingem, said that the initiative is part of the institution programme which supports the Ministry of Education with electronic means for distance learning of teachers.

 

The donation is amounted at USD 650 million, being 228 portable computers, 105 desk computers, 105 printers, and a generator.
