Luanda - The minister of Education Pinda Simao, Friday in Luanda said that the training of teachers is a key condition for raising the level of education in the country, so it is a subject of particular attention from the Angolan Government.
According to the government official, who was speaking on the sidelines of the official act of delivery of computer hardware, by UNICEF, the training of national teaching staff is one of the indispensable assumptions to raise the level of quality of education at national level.
Pinda Simao added that currently the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), is essential to achieve the desired results in education sector.
"It is urge the need to build awareness together and about the potential use of computer tools to facilitate the implementation of an educational paradigm," the minister emphasized.
The donation made by UNICEF is valued at USD 650,000, and 228 laptops, 105 desktops, 105 printers and a generator.
It is a complement of the training programme of teachers teaching without pedagogic aggregation.
The project has the support of UNICEF and began in 2009, in partnership with the European Union and UNESCO.
