Govt committed to increasing country's educational level

Ndalatando - The Vice President of the Republic, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, on Tuesday here said that the Angolan executive will continue work so that there can be a rapid growth in the country’s educational level, since this has a great influence in development.

 

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2012 academic year in Ndalatando City, northern Kwanza-Norte Province, he said that important measures have been taken which will have effects soon.

 

He pointed out the expansion of the schooling network, which will enable a greater integration of children in the education system, as well as the teachers training programme.

 

The Vice President also mentioned as measures a special attention to be paid to literacy and adults special education, exhorting the participation of local organs of the state administration in the national programmes of literacy and schooling acceleration, as well as the improvement of the special needs education system.
