Kwanza Norte
All in place for start of 2012 academic year

Ndalatando – The Angolan Education minister, Pinda Simão, Tuesday in Ndalantado, northern Kwanza Norte province, assured that the essential conditions are created, either in terms of school infrastructure or teachers to lecture all the subjects of the various levels this academic year.


 
Pinda Simão was speaking to ANGOP, before the official opening of the 2012 academic year, assuring that the staff are aware of the beginning of lessons without any problem, either for students already enrolled in the system or for those who are entering this year.


 
The Government official informed that there are in the country at least 53,000 classrooms for the first and second grades.


 
Official information assure that the school network spread enabled an increase of 572,842 students, representing an average improvement of 9,3 percent.


 
In 2011, for example, at least 6.111,649 students enrolled with the school system, among them 709,576 in the early stage, 4.455,548 in the first grade and 950,525 in the two cycles of the second grade.
