Luanda – The visit to Angola of two intellectuals from Cuba, former teachers of many Angolans, some of them are government officials, was considered historic by the governor of Luanda, Francisca do Espírito Santo.
The governor made this statement at the end of meeting she held with the Cuban teachers and members of the association of Angolans who studied in Cuba called “Los Caimaneros”.
During the meeting, members of the association remembered the moments they lived in the past when they were students in the school 42 António Agostinho Neto, in the Youth Island, Cuba, praising the rigor, that time, of the math teacher, António Sorzano Curviur.
According to the governor, the association Los Caimaneros has projects in the areas of social solidarity, professional training, cultural and creating opportunities and conditions for members with difficulties to find Job.
Francisca do Espírito Santo considered positive the government effort, while she was the director of the National Institute of Scholarship (INABE), responsible that time of the students abroad.
Both intellectuals, respectively Rody Irsula Figueiredo, former director of the school 42 António Agostinho Neto and António Sorzano Curviur, math teacher, are in Angola for one month, invited by “Los Caimaneros” association, to celebrate July 26 dedicated to Cuban Revolution.
