Luanda – The administrative director of the “Simao Toco” church School Complex, Garcia Luyeye, Tuesday in Luanda appealed to the society and religious institutions to continue their effort to fight illiteracy in the country.

Speaking to Angop on "Literacy Campaign in the Country”, Garcia Luyeye stressed his congregation has been encouraging illiterate populations in the country to join the literacy  process.

According to the source, there has been a great participation of women in the fight against illiteracy, contrary to men that feel ashamed.

278 people are currently attending literacy lessons at the church’s centre that has 12 classrooms and 12 trainers running primary programmes.
