Over 40,000 books distributed in Chibia

 

 
 
Chibia – The district education section of Chibia, Huíla province, freely distributed, in the current school year, 48,793 school books of initiation up to sixth grade, under the National Programme of Books Distribution being developed by the government all over the country.

 
Angop learnt this fact from the official of the general education office in the district, Pedro Chimuku, who mentioned that among this number at least 2,380 enrolment forms, 7,646 diverse books of the first grade, as well as 13.874 of second were handed out.

 
Thre were also distributed 10,428 books of third grade, 5.382 of fourth grade, 8,819 of fifth and 264 for sixth.

 
Situated 45 kilometres off Lubango city, the district comprises 103 schools of the primary school and population estimated at 131,540 inhabitants.
