Adventist church spends USD 10 million to build university campus

 

Huambo – About USD 10 million are being invested by the Adventist Church of Seventh Day in the construction and equipping of a university campus that will accommodate 3,000 students, in Huambo.

 

The students will attend lessons at Adventist University whose opening to public depends on the State Secretary for Higher Education, informed on Wednesday in Huambo the principal of the Adventist University, Manuel Pacheco.


 
The official said that the campus is being built in the village of Bongo, municipality of Longonjo, 60 kilometres from the city of Huambo and will have two buildings to accommodate students, library, computer room connected to Internet to help bibliography researches of students and teachers and foresees also the construction of recreational, sports areas and other infra-structures to support teachers.

 

The university plans to lecture undergraduate programmes in the specialities of Theology, Management and Account, Music, Computers Engineering and telecommunication.
