Higher Institute of Administration welcomes competition among in schools

Luena – The Higher Institute of Administration and Management (IMAG) of Luena, eastern Moxico province hosted on Saturday the first contest among art schools promoted by the provincial Department of Culture.

 

At the event that had the participation of students from the “4 de Abril”, “17 de Setembro”, “ 11 de Novembro” and ”Comandante Tchifuchi” schools, were displayed traditional and modern dance, theatre, poetry, fashion shows and music.

 

On the occasion, the head of Department of Arts and Culture, Domingos Caiéie, said the contest aims to find new talents and encourage culture and arts in schools, through extra-curricular activities.

 

Domingos Caiéie encouraged teachers to continue transmitting their knowledge and


experience to the students of arts, with a view to helping enrich the cultural values in the province of Moxico.

 


IMAG director, José Januário Mateus, welcomed the initiative and invited the youths to  learns, preserve and divulge the culture of the country.

 


The event was witnessed by members of the provincial Government, headmasters and teachers from  various schools.
