US Embassy offers scholarship for needy children

Luanda – The Embassy of the United States of America (USA) in Angola, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will offer on Monday (March 8) in Luanda , hundreds of scholarships for Angolan youths from needy families.

 

According to a press release that reached Angop, the ceremony will be witnessed by the US ambassador to Angola, Dan Mozena.

 

The note states that the scholarships are part of “Ambassador Girls Scholarship Programme”, under the “Education for Africa” scheme, funded by the US through USAID.


The programme, the sources says, offers scholarships and counselling to disadvantaged primary school children, orphans, disabled people and those affected by Hiv/Aids, from 39 countries from Sub-Saharan Africa.
