Schools in Huambo get funds

Huambo – At least 58 schools of central Huambo province, inserted in the programme of support to the primary teaching (PAEP), started receiving funds on Friday for implementation of education projects and micro-projects, Angop has learnt.

The funds aim at improving teaching of subjects such as Portuguese and mathematics and were handed over to the institutions, totalizing an amount of 15 million Kwanzas.

At the opening act, the deputy governor for economic and social affairs, David Barbosa, said the project is a result of a partnership between the Ministry of Education and the European Union (EU) through Unicef.

Other 42 schools of Huambo province will benefit from this project.
