Over 20.000 women learn to read and write in Bié Province

Kuito - Over 29. 490 women learnt to read and write in 2009, in schools created by the Organisation of Angolan Women (OMA) in Bié Province, aimed at facilitating their integration in socio-economic activities.

 

In an interview to ANGOP, on Monday, the provincial secretary of the ruling MPLA female organisation, Sabina Napolo, stressed that the literacy lessons were provided in the nine districts that make up the province.

 

The female official stated that her organisation will continue to develop such actions in rural communities, where the educational  levels are considered to be very low.
