Luanda - Angola's deputy minister of Education for General Teaching and Social Action, Ana Paula Inês, on Monday in Viana district, highlighted the gesture of the US embassy of providing internal scholarships for children at Horizonte Azul centre, Angop has learnt.
She reminded that previously the girls had not access to education, they were guided to give support to their mothers in home works. Currently, this situation has changed, therefore the policies and strategies both of Angola and the world is to give access to all children at the primary or basic free and obligatory teaching.
According to her, the National Plan of Education for All was elaborated taking into account that one should assume the role for the implementation of this integrated strategy of the base law of materialisation of its goals.
The centre accommodates 325 girls and 255 boys.
