Luanda - The Angolan Education minister, António Burity da Silva, reiterated last Monday in Frankfurt City, Germany, that Angola is stable and open to foreign investment and to multi-sectorial cooperation with all countries of the world.
Speaking at the international workshop on “Curricular Innovations, Education for Peace and Fight against Poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa”, which started last Saturday, Burity da Silva said that the process of sustainable development of Angola passes through the need to acquire the necessary knowledge for the economic growth and edification of its national identity.
He also talked about the knowledge that in multi-sectorial and plurilingual societies like the African ones may permit a major respect and acceptance of difference, so that the feeling of national identity may easily be interiorised and also lead to the construction of the political and economic citizenship.
Those societies can also use the mentioned characteristics for a good exercise of the participatory and representative democracy, assumptions of responsible fatherhood and motherhood, women’s rights, health, environmental protection and solidarity.
