Sixty-year-old Angolan lady gets economics degree in London

Luanda - The Angolan 60-year-old student, Juvelina de Figueiredo Vieira, received her degree in economics from the Greenwich University of London (UK), in the field of accounting and finance.

According to a press release from the Angolan embassy in the United Kingdom, made available to ANGOP on Monday, Juvelina Vieira received her diploma on June 24 during the 2009 awards ceremony held at Greenwich University, in Maritime Greenwich-South London.

To her, that diploma results from her own merit and thanks to the support of her family members (daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren), who are also residing in London.

Because of this achievement, she will receive a sponsorship from the university in order for her to obtain her PhD as soon as the 2009/2010 academic year starts.
