Govt grants land deeds to peasants in cotton production

Sumbe - Central Kwanza-Sul province government will soon grant lands to peasants located in Benzengulo village, in Sumbe district, meant to liberalise 400 hectares of arable land for a cotton project, Angop has learnt.

This was announced this week to Angop by the provincial director of agriculture, Afonso Mário, at the end of the 15th meeting with peasants of the community to solve problems relating to land granting.

"We have identified the reason of the misunderstanding of the project by the community and thus we have once more to sensitize those people, mainly chieftains, that are leading this situation’’, he said.
