Luanda – The head of the Foreign Investments Boost Department of Germany, Volker Berresheim, announced Monday in Luanda the intension of German businesspeople to intensify their investments in Angola.
At the end of an audience with the co-ordinator of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP) management commission, Aguinaldo Jaime, the official justified this intension saying that economic relations between the two countries are developing in consequence of the peace that was achieved and the projects to modernise infrastructures and diversify Angolan economy.
Volker Berresheim affirmed that although he notices the country's development, Angola still needs technologies and trained people in a specific areas, so Germany can help in this regard.
Aguinaldo Jaime also received in audience the state minister for Foreigner Affairs of the United Kingdom, Malloch Brown, who declared to the press that foreign investment is the key to develop the Angolan economy, its diversification, creation of jobs and wealth.
According Malloch Brown, the meeting with the ANIP boss was very important to facilitate foreign investments, especially from his country.
Integrated the British delegation, led by Malloch Brown, the ambassador to Angola, Pat Phillips, while the German entourage was headed by Volker Berresheim and included businesspeople.
