Country's capital to have 25 proximity stores this year

Luanda - A total of 25 proximity stores dubbed "Poupa Lá" will be opened this year in the country's capital, Luanda, under the rogramme of Restructuring the System of Logistics and Supply of Essential Products to the Population (PRESILD), ANGOP learnt on
Saturday from the director of the project's administrative and financial services, Pedro Videira.

 

Pedro Videira disclosed this information after the opening of the second proximity store that was inaugurated by the governor of Luanda, Francisca do Espírito Santo, in Benfica ward, Samba district.

 

He also said that the undertaking, covering an area of 250 square metres, has cold storage containers and 400 various products for selling.

 

Twenty eight jobs, mainly for women, were created with the inauguration of this trade infrastructure.

 

At the moment Luanda province has three proximity stores, two of which were inaugurated on Saturday in the Benfica and Viana wards. The first is situated in the Morro da Luz zone, also in Samba district.

 

The "Poupa Lá" stores shall be expanded to every districts of Luanda province.
