Luanda international fair marks oil sector day


Luanda – The Luanda International Trade Fair (FILDA) will mark this Friday the symbolic celebration of the oil sector day of exhibition.


Among the oil companies, emphasis goes to 11 firms namely Sonangol, Somoil, Total, Chevron, BP-Angola, Esso, ENI–Angola, Angola LNG project, Sonamet, CAE and Panalpina.

 
Oil production in Angola, the second largest in sub-Saharan Africa, represents on average 90% of exports, 50% of GDP and 80% income tax.


Since 1980, crude oil production has increased annually, with estimated reserves of Angolan crude at 12.4 billion barrels.
