New law on Merchant Navy prioritises Angolan firms

Luanda - The new law on the Merchant Navy, Ports and Related Activities passed last Wednesday by the National Assembly, foresees among other things the attribution of concession rights to Angolan companies.

 

According to the document, port-related service to public can be   objects of concession.

 

Among the services are loading and unloading of ships, moving, parking, storing cargos, exploration of leisure and port navigation infrastructures.

 

The mentioned law was passed with 166 votes in favour, none against and no abstentions.
