Luanda – Angolan energy specialist, José Alexandre, Monday in Luanda defended the production of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as a solution to the burning of gas on the blocks 0,1,2,14,15,17 and 18 on the country’s offshore.
Speaking to Angop about LNG and its applications, José Alexandre welcomed the project saying its reserves in the country are estimated at more than 10 trillion cubic feet and should therefore be produced for export.
He said natural gas is a source of energy that is less harmful to environment as compared with oil and mineral coal.
