Banks internationalisation depends on system consolidation

Luanda – The effective internationalisation of the Angolan banks depends on the consolidation of their internal operation, providing acceptable and quality services to national and foreign customers, ANGOP has learnt.

This was said by the executive administrator of the African Investments Bank (BAI), Luis Lélis, adding that currently there is not much necessity of the national banks to be internationalised.

"For BAI, clearly the Angolan market is a priority. Internationalisation is an opportunity, but for us the market of choice and strategy is the Angolan one. We are taking secure steps towards this way, Bank is like a circulatory system on human body so are we", said the source.
