Luanda - The secretary of Inter-Africa Coffee Organization (IACO), the Angolan Josefa Correia Sacko said on Thursday in Luanda that in this moment the highlight of the institution’s activities relating to the choice of a new secretary general.
Speaking to Angop, the official said that the post was open last year during three months and this period it was only received one candidacy.
So, the secretary said that the acting chairperson of the organization, Jumanne Maghembe was unhappy because IACO has 25 member countries and only Uganda presented its candidacy.
Meanwhile, the Angolan diplomat said that if there is no consensus, IACO general assembly will gather next November in Tanzania to handle this situation.
