Government provides multiform support to postal sector

Luanda- The Angolan government has provided financial, organisational and training support in the field of postal sector, in order to function and serve the people, said Friday in Luanda, the director of the National Post of Angola, Vasco Leitão.

 

The official expressed these words of recognition at the opening of postal strategy forum of the SADC to the Universal Postal Union (UPU), which runs from today in Luanda.

 

The meeting on postal strategy of SADC for the UPU aims to outline the postal strategy of  Southern Africa Development Community, which will be presented at the 25th World Postal Congress to be held from 24 September to 15 October 2012 in Doha, Qatar.

 

The decision that may emerge from the meeting will be the position of SADC, but before being presented to the 25th Congress in Doha, will undergo concerted position of the Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU), as well as use this opportunity to address other related
matters.

 

The activities being undertaken include the participation of officials connected to the SADC telecommunications and postal sector.
