Luanda - The National Statistics Institute (INE) will cover about 21 million people during the Census of Population and Housing (RGPH), taking place from July to August 2013.
The information was released Wednesday, in Luanda, by the general coordinator of the Central Bureau of Census, Camilo Ceita, during a seminar with journalists on population census.
The official stressed that the Angolan Government is one of the few governments in Africa that took individually 100% all the financial costs of the census.
Camilo Ceita, who is also director general of INE, said that for the preparation of the programme for the next RGPH and drafting of project of the associated cartography, the INE counts on international assistance funded by UN Fund for Population (UNFP) and the World Bank.
He noted that, apart from central and provincial structure of INE, the preparation of the 2013 census will involve partnerships with public institutions at central and local levels.
