Cape Town - Participants in the International Mining Conference "Mining Indaba," held in Cape Town, South Africa, recommended the African countries to work so that their companies linked to the mining production and marketing can achieve the investments.
The event started Monday and gathered over 6,500 professionals of nearly 100 countries from the six continents and 1200 companies linked to various branches of the mining sector.
The meeting focussed on facilitation of attraction of investments in order to help the African mining companies to grow.
The four-day conference also discussed various issues related to mineral resources, sustainability and developing of the countries, production, exploration and marketing of resources, as well as the importance of the financial sector for investments.
A Mining Fair, which was also held simultaneously with the conference, exhibited the full potential of the companies, having shared experiences and signing some agreements.
Angola was represented at the event by a delegation led by minister of Geology and Mining and Industry, Joaquim David, and the National Diamond Company of Angola (ENDIM-EP).
