Caimbambo - About 2.000 hectares of cereal plantations are being destroyed in Caimbambo Municipality, Benguela Province, due to the prolonged drought in the region, ANGOP has learnt.
The chairman of the National Association of Peasants and Farming Co-operatives (Unaca) in Caimbambo, Mateus Catimba, said the plantations of maize, beans and soya have been affected due to lack of rains.
He said that the situation may put the harvest at risk.
