Bengo province to host Banana Fair soon

Caxito - The northern Bengo province will be hosting the first National Banana Fair from February 23- 25, Angop learned Friday here.

The initiative belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the local Government.
The spokesman for the event, João Mpilamosi, explained that national and foreign expositors will participate in the event with their products.

Initially planned for January 19, 20 and 21, the fair has been postponed for this February, because of technical reasons.

“The purpose is to bring together 150 exhibitors, but the number might be smaller because some companies will cover bigger spaces,” said the source.

João Mpilamosi said that at least 20,000 square metres are available for the fair, in addition to another 10,000 square metres for car parking and other services, such as health assistance and security.
