Lubango - More agricultural equipment will be acquired in the coming months in Huila Province, meant to improve production, announced the deputy governor for the economic sector, Sérgio da Cunha Velho.

The governor said so while speaking to the press, under the perspective of the rural commerce promotion programme, adding that the initiative aims at assisting the efforts of the local government in the fight againt poverty.

The official also said that the executive has been working With the commercial banks, in the ambit of the agricultural campaign credit.

"We are with the banks to seek some speed in dealing with dispatches from the assessment committees, as the demand was to provide credits in a speedy way, before the beginning of the agricultural campaign and not later", he said.
