Lisbon - Angola is attending a meeting of experts in economic and business cooperation from the Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP) that was opened Thursday in Lisbon by the organisation’s executive secretary, Domingos Simão Pereira.
The meeting at which Angola is represented by Francisco Paulo is tackling such topics as the strategic alliance for promotion of commerce and growth, the position of the CPLP member countries in the various blocs of economic integration and in the World Trade Organisation and the strategic position in the structure of the international economy.
The financial relations in the CPLP and development of the human capital, language and culture, based on economic cooperation and CPLP affirmation, are other matters being discussed at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the participants will adopt a final report containing recommendations and proposals of mechanisms to be created and integration of an articulated framework for actions to be carried out by CPLP public entities, with a view to expanding trade, increasing investment and fomenting partnerships, aiming at a major economic integration of member states.
The report, according to the source, will be transmitted to the national entities responsible for trade and investment who, as part of a technical meeting, shall comply the proposals from the experts’ meeting into a report that will be submitted to the CPLP Council of Ministers for analysis and adoption of measures for the reinforcement of economic and business cooperation in the organisation.
