Inadec sensitizes workers on use of iodized salt

 

Luanda - The National Institute for Consumer Protection (Inadec) Saturday held an awareness campaign within salting workers of the Island of Luanda on the need to use iodized salt.


The campaign, promoted by the public institution, is part of the celebrations of International Day of diseases caused by lack of iodine in the body, marked on 19 October.


During the awareness-raising activity, messages were passed on visible and invisible diseases caused by lack of iodine in the body, such as inflammation of the neck, among others.


On the other hand, the event also served to educate the public to check at the time of purchase, the label on the packaging to see if it is written iodized salt.
