Lubango – The government of the southern Huíla province will launch on Monday a programme aimed at boosting the rural trade, so as to stimulate the small and big scale agricultural production.
This was said to Angop on Friday by the vice governor of Huíla province for economic matters, Sérvio da Cunha Velho, during a workshop under the theme “MPLA and State”, under the festivities of the 55th founding anniversary of the ruling party, to be marked on 10 December.
Cunha Velho said that the referred programme will function with a network of producers, whole and retail sellers and it will be supported through bank credit with preferential interest rates.
The official said that this action aims to protect who produces, by avoiding that the production deteriorates due to the lack of transportation from the countryside to town or even sale.
So, this programme will encourage the rural traders to reactivate their former shops and construction of new ones.
On the other hand, the vice governor valorised various programmes implemented by the Angolan executive, aiming for the improvement of the Angolans’ living standards.
