Italian ambassador unveils honey production project

Luena – The Italian ambassador to Angola, Jiuseppe Mistrella will inaugurate on Tuesday in the commune of Cangumbe, Moxico province the USD 600,000 project on exploration and production of honey called "Lumbe-Lumbe".

 

The Italian diplomat, who is in the city of Luena since this morning, held a courtesy meeting with the vice governor of Moxico for Organization and technical services, Mário Salomão.


 
The project is an initiative of an Italian non-government organization that aims to develop the production of honey in the eastern province estimated at USD 600.000.

 

"This initiative is very ambitious and can create an economic development of population’’, said the diplomat.

 

According to the ambassador, the visit will also serve to know the region and hear the necessity and opportunities the province can offer in the areas of agriculture and industry under the projects of Italian government in Angola.

 

The official will also visit the health centre brother "Zatti" and projects of priest Salesianos of Dom Bosco and other interests.
