Malanje power distribution network needs investment

Malanje – The governor of northern Malanje province, Boaventura Cardoso, said here that the local power distribution network needs investment, despite the improvements noted in recent years.

Speaking on Wednesday during the third regular meeting of the Provincial Council for Consultation and Social Dialogue, the official said that the investment requires an increase of the substations’ capacities.

The governor said the same is happening in the water sector that also needs to improve distribution.

To this end, the governor pointed out the implementation of the integrated infrastructures project for Malanje city released in May this year by the vice-president, Fernando da Piedade dos Santos.

The project, he explained, consists in the expansion of the roads network, water, sewerage, telecommunications, electricity and management of wastes.

The  meeting of the body tackled the ongoing Luanda Railway (CFL) works, the arrival of the train Malanje and other matters.
