Luanda – The over 50 businessmen strong japanese delegation, headed by the secretary of state for foreign affairs, Osamu Fujimura, left Luanda Tuesday at the end of a three day working visit that resulted in a ten million usdollars grant for the upgrading of the
Professional Civil Construction Training Center of Viana, outskirts of the angolan capital.
The grant agreement was signed by the secretary of state for cooperation, Exalgina Gamboa, and the japanese ambassador accredited to Angola, Kazuhiko Koshi Kawa.
Through the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Tokyo intends to grant a financing worth 2,5 billion usdollars to Africa by 2012 to double its private investment in the continent, as announced in 2008.
About the credit grant, Osamu Fujimura considered Angola as one of the countries that quickly recovered from the world economic and financial crisis, instilling confidence to japanese investors.
Mr Fujimura, who was accompanied by the deputy minister of economy, trade and industry, Chiak Takahashi, said that the visit to Angola expresses the great interest of the japanese private sector to prospect and invest in the angolan market.
During the visit the japanese secretary of state met finance minister, Carlos Lopes, and visited the Viana industrial pole.
