Benguela - The business director of the Brazilian Camargo Correia group, Ricardo Barbosa, on Wednesday said in Lobito it is safe to invest in Angola and set up business partnerships with local companies in various sectors.
Speaking to Angop on the sidelines of the launching of the cornerstone of the new cement plant "Palanca Cimentos", mr Barbosa stated that his group has agreed to joint the project as it trusts the angolan market.
On the "Palanca Cimentos" project, the brazilian businessman said that "Camargo Correia Cimentos" is working in iorder to honour the objectives of the "Gema Group" and "Escom" and the trust of the angolan government.
He said that the "Camargo Correia" group has taken the commitment to help the "Palanca Cimentos" plant to contribute for Angola's reconstruction, in the near future.
He acknowledged the Benguela region as a strategic zone for industrial development which according to him is favoured by the existance of the commercial port of Lobito, the Benguela Railways and the road networkks linking the country's north, south and central provinces.
The launcing of the cornerstone of "Palanca Cimentos" plant was witnessed by the minister of urbanism, construction and housing, Jose Ferreira, and by the deputy governor of Benguela province, Agostinho Felizardo.
