ANIP co-ordinator meets with Japanese entrepreneurs

Luanda – The co-ordinator of the Restructuring Commission for the National Private Investments Agency (ANIP), Aguinaldo Jaime, received on Thursday in Luanda a Japanese entrepreneurial delegation to analyse the negotiations underway for the Agreement
on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments.

 

Aguinaldo Jaime said to the press at the end of the meeting that after the conclusion of the negotiation, this agreement will permit major participation of Japanese companies in the growth of the Angolan economy and vice versa.


 
On his turn, the director of Japan’s International Cooperation Bank, Fumio Hoshi, said that this Japanese Bank has approved a funding strategy for Japanese companies in Africa with an amount estimated USD 2,5 million and Angola is a priority of the bank.


 
The delegation, led by Fumio Hoshi, is in Luanda since Wednesday for a three-day visit and it is comprised by 20 Japanese companies, representatives of the main firms of Japan such as Toyota Corporation, Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Toyo Engineering, Sojitz, Marubeni and Itochu  Corporation.


 
In Luanda, the Japanese delegation is going to meet with the minister of State and head of the Civil Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Carlos Feijó, and the minister of Industry,  Geology and Mining, Joaquim David.
