Luanda – A diamond exploration contract in the “Luxinge Project” was signed this Friday, here, among the Angolan National Diamond Company (Endiama), Compesa Angola, Sheffield, Syntechron Tríade and the International Sweden Gold Exploration (IGE).
The project, an exploration in “aluvionar", will last over seven years and is placed in Lunda Norte province, Nzagi district, Cambulo neighbouring.
To support geologic mining prospect phase of the project were invested USD 13 million, while for the beginning phase there will be invested USD 6.5 million.
In the project, Endiama possesses 18 percent, Compensa Angola 10 percent, Sheffield and Syntechron 10 percent and IGE has a participation of 42 percent.
In the ceremony, the chairperson of the Administration Council of Endiama, Carlos Sumbula, said that the signing of the contract is included in the Angolan government strategy, previewing that all those mines with economic viability must be explored soon as possible.
