Police chief wants major effort in fight against tax evasion

Luanda – Fiscal Police effectives will need to redouble efforts in the fight against tax evasion, so as to guarantee better results in terms of revenue that can be channelled to the State’s General Budget.


   
This has been recently said by the Fiscal Police commander, sub-commissioner Maria Madalena Vieira Dias Gomboa, who also asserted that one of the main challenges of the corporation is the training of the effectives in all domains.


 
The official, who was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 14th Broad Consultative Council of the Fiscal Police, which lasted two days, considered it necessary to extend the services of this unit to all the boarder sections in which there is movement of people and
merchandise.


 
She called on police officers to strengthen the dignity of their specialty, always working under the terms of the law and professionalism, although she recognised that there is a “difficult and long way to go”.


 
Maria Madalena Gambôa added that the conclusions from this meeting will be used as guidelines for future actions of all specialists of the Fiscal Police.
