Government bans mackerel and sardine fishing


Luanda,  –  The Angolan government on Friday banned the fishing of mackerel  and sardine unitil the end of the year following the need to protect some species in danger of  extinction.

 

On the other hand, the Angolan government allowed the fishing of crustaceans and shellfish  up to 4.500 tons, of demersal species up to 76.249 tons and the fishing of pelagic species up  to 259.869 tons.


 
The Angolan government also sanctioned the measures of management of sea fisheries, the continental fishing and aquiculture in 2010.
