BAI recorded USD 231 millions income


Luanda – The BAI (Banco Africano de Investimentos) 2009 net incomes of reached 231 million USdollars against 166 millions recorded last year, according to a bank press note issued here Thursday.


According to the document, the bank net assets was 8.3 billions dollars while client net credit was 3.044 millions.


With 1.276 workers the bank has 73 branches and 267.000 clients reads the press note issued on the day of the openning of the bank's ninth branch abroad in Johannesburg, South Africa.


According to the document the boosting of economic relations within the Community of Southern Africa Countries (SADC) increases the tendency for a greater trade balance etween Angola and South Africa.


Actually BAI has two branches in Portugal ( Lisbon and OPorto), six branches in Cape Verde and has shareholdings in Brazil and Sao tome and Principe.
