Peasants refund about 40 percent of credit

Saurimo – Associated farmers in eastern Lunda Sul province that benefited from Commerce and Industry Bank (BCI) loans have refunded 40 percent of the amount estimated at 27 million Kwanzas.

 

Speaking to Angop, the head of Unaca, Ernesto Audâcio said that from this amount at least 11 million Kwanzas were already refunded in now it is left short 15 million Kwanzas.


 
The source said that the refund is not done in a dynamic they wished because of less production and difficulties registered such as lack of transportation.

 

Unaca controls in the province of Lunda province 28,788 farmers among them 14,145 are women spread in 526 associations.
