Huambo – The Finance Department of central Huambo province reaped for State’s coffers AKZ 459,2 million, from January to February 2010, Angop learnt from an official source.
According to the source, in the same period of 2009, the Finance Department had collected for the State’s coffers over Akz 500 million.
Speaking to Angop, the head of the referred department, Armando Rodolfo Kembi, said the drop in revenues collected, started to be recorded as from June 2009, which continued until the first two months of 2010.
According to him, this was due to the world financial crisis in 2009, which is still affecting businesses.
The main sources of fiscal revenues in Huambo province are the payments of industrial taxes, on labour income and the consumption of alcoholic drinks.
