Over 1,000 tonnes of fish captured in Namibe

Namibe - A total of 1,130 tonnes of fish was captured in January in southern Namibe province by 31 fishing companies, the provincial fisheries director, Isaac Cativa, told Angop today.

 

According to mr Cativa sardine was the most captured species with 943 tonnes or 83,4 per cent of thetotal capture.

 

There are almost 60 fishing companies, 31 of which operational in Namibe province, and 36 fishing ships.
