INADEC admits weak consumer participation

 

Luanda – The rate of claims and complaints on violation of consumers rights still low and reveals a weak participation and conscience of citizens, on Tuesday said the director of the National Institute of Consumer Defence (Inadec), Elsa Barber.


The official who was speaking to press, on the occasion of the world consumer day, marked on March 15, said that across 2009 were recorded 109 complaints on service supply and sale of several goods, being that statistics figures for 2010 are under preparation.


Most of the complaints are related to defect of mobile phones, electronics equipments and services supply of automobiles.


Meanwhile, awareness campaigns will be held to inform consumers on their rights, she said.
